How to Fix: iPod Touch Stuck in Recovery Mode [Solved]

This morning when I was using my iPod touch, it froze and crashed sunddenly. I tried to turn it back on, but it wouldn't power up so I plugged it into iTunes. Then it said that my iPod touch went into recovery mode and I had to restore it to use it again. So I clicked the restore button and then I saw the Apple logo and a loading bar under it. However, after hours of waiting, there was no movement in the loading bar! I've tried holding down the Sleep and Home button but the loading bar just wouldn't move. So is there any effective way to fix iPod stuck in recovery mode while recovering iPod touch at the same time?
